End Times

August 11, 2017

The other day, my neighbor remarked to me that he was so content with his home and property that he would be staying there for the next 25 years. I thought that was a rather odd statement given the times we live in. And although I know only God knows the exact day and hour of Christ's final coming, there are signs and indications that we may not have 25 years before His coming, let alone what may happen in the interim.

Yeah, yeah, I know that the end times have been continuously predicted in the past, since just after the Resurrection. But keep in mind:

First of all, for all the seculars and lukewarmers out there, the chief climatologist of Canada stated in 2016 that the damage to our climate cannot be reversed. It is too late. That being said, it will only get worse. Oh, and by the way, climatological events are predicted in the bible for the end times. So either way, the end is coming soon, whether you want to believe or not, and you, my friend, are running out of days.

Second of all, the Divine Mercy message is in fact a message for the end times. It should also be mentioned that this is the first time, that I know about, that God has told us that we are in the end times. So if you believe in the Divine Mercy message (fyi: Divine Mercy devotion is Church approved), you have to believe what our Lord states about the end times is true. But who knows how long the end times will last?

Speak to the world about My mercy ... It is a sign for the end times. After it will come the Day of Justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fountain of My mercy.  (Diary 848)

Also, keep in my mind, that the Year of Mercy has just ended. Never before has there been a Year of Mercy in the Church. And after mercy, comes justice, but when?

Third of all, Sister Lucia was quoted as saying, "The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families...that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."

Fourth of all, there are many who believe some bible prophecies about the end times are coming true; which to explain and describe here, would be beyond the scope of this article.

Fifth of all, there are Popes such as Pope Saint John Paul II and Francis who have made statements in preparation for these times.

"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God's Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously." (Pope John Paul II, 1976)

Sixth of all, even if you look at the world through secular eyes, look at population and other trends such as technology, industry, etc., over the past 150 years; what conclusion can you draw? You know the curtain is closing.

It would seem that the period of 100 years is significant and meaningful.

"By his coming, which never ceases, the Holy Spirit causes the world to enter into the 'last days', the time of the Church" (CCC 732)

“But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." (Matthew 24:36, N.A.B.)

"Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come." (Matthew 24:43-44, N.A.B.)

Consider this:

1. Pope Leo XIII on October 13, 1884 (exactly 33 years to the day, before the miracle of the sun at Fatima) – had a vision about satan (the Lord granting satan more power within a 100 year period to try and destroy the Church). But we don't know when that 100 year time frame started?
2. Our Lord started appearing to Sister Faustina in 1931.
3. 400 years before, in 1531, Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego.
4. At Rianjo, Spain in August 1931, Our Lord communicated to Sister Lucy His dissatisfaction with the Popes and the Catholic bishops failure to obey His command to consecrate Russia. He said: Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My requests, they will follow him into misfortune.
Here is what happened to the King of France:
On June 17th, 1689,  Jesus told St. Margaret Mary Alacoque to tell the King of France to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was never done, and exactly 100 years later on that same day, June 17th, 1789, the French National Assembly voted to strip the King of His power in the act that would begin the French revolution. He tried to consecrate France, but it was too late, and the King was beheaded and France became the godless state which it still is today.
5. 100 years from the first appearance of our Lord to Sister Faustina is 2031. 500 years from the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe is 2031.

Just saying!

Note: This article in no way was intended to solidify a day and hour of His second coming. What we do know for sure is this: we are in the latter days, and it is important for people to repent now before it is too late. Sure, we may have a sign before the end, but, by then it might be too late to be saved.

What you can do:

1. Contact your nearest Catholic parish (if you are not already a Catholic) in order to prepare you to become baptised;

If you are a Catholic:
1. Do not miss any Sunday masses (or Saturday vigil in its stead) unless you have a very good reason;
2. Go to Confession monthy, or earlier if you have committed a mortal sin;
3. Learn your catechesis, and have an understanding of basic apologetics (in order to defend the fatih);
4. Pray at least 5 decades of the Holy Rosary everyday;
5. Follow the Divine Mercy devotion;
6. Read scriptural passages daily (or upcoming readings);
7. Evangelize! Share your faith, which is a gift from God to be shared;
8. Eucharistic adoration for an hour each week;
8. Don't worry about anything.

“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.” (Luke 21:25-28, N.A.B.)
